The Center was established in 2005 to coordinate research activities underway in the Harrisburg and South Central Pennsylvania areas. The Center is affiliated with both the Child Study Center and Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus. The Center is funded, in part, by a grant from the Social Science Research Institute at Penn State. Current and past research projects involve basic, applied, and intervention research.
